Cyberstalking

Cyberstalking is a form of online harassment in which the perpetrator uses electronic communications to  stalk  a victim. Cyberstalking is considered more dangerous than other forms of cyberbullying because it generally involves a credible threat to the safety of the victim. Cyberstalkers may send repeated messages intended to threaten or harass their victim. Harmful Effects Of Cyber Bullying

Research had demonstrated a number of serious consequences of cyberbullying victimization. For example, victims have lower self-esteem, increased suicidal ideation, and a variety of emotional responses, retaliating, being scared, frustrated, angry, and depressed.People have reported that Cyberbullying can be more harmful than traditional bullying because there is no escaping it. One of the most damaging effects is that a victim begins to avoid friends and activities, often the very intention of the cyberbully. Cyberbullying campaigns are sometimes so damaging that victims have committed suicide. There are at least four examples in the United States where cyberbullying has been linked to the suicide of a teenager. The  suicide   of Megan Meier  is a recent example that led to the conviction of the adult perpetrator of the attacks.
